Knowing how sensitive our sweet little Chloe is to noise & overstimulation we struggled with how we were going to involve our family & friends for the very special occasion of her first birthday. A first birthday is an amazing milestone for any child but for our little girl it has so much more significance. We didn't know for sure that Chloe would be here to share in her special day because this devastating disease has progressed so much faster than we ever imagined. But we mustn't dwell on the future or on what is to come we must only look at her sweet, amazing little face, her beautiful big green eyes, her amazing eyelashes that are the envy of all the girls, her flushed pink cheeks, her sweet button nose, her beautiful pouty lips and the soft fuzzy tuft of hair on the top of her perfectly endearing face. Chloe is a miracle and every day with her is a special treasure,
so we will greet the day with love, laughter, smiles, hugs and lots and lots of kisses.
We love you Chloe & we wish you a birthday & a life filled with LOVE
for that is what you give to us, every minute of every day.

Birthday Dreaming.........Night Night Sweet Girl
We decided instead of having a big party we would do something a little different.
Take a look at what we sent to our friends & family...
Chloe's GiftAs you know, there is a very special little gi rl who blessed our lives a year ago on February 5th.
To celebrate the miracle of Chloe's life we wanted to do something that would involve you, our
family and friends, in a creative and memorable way, without having to overstimulate
our little sweetie with the ruckus of a huge party.
Enclosed you will find a fabric square. This square will be your gift to Chloe. We would love for you
to create a square to be added to "Chloe's Quilt of Love". It can be as simple as you want it to be,
there's no pressure, just have fun & let your heart guide you. You can do anything with it,
whether it is using a crayon, felt pen, fabric paints, etc. to draw a picture, write a poem,
or send a wish to Chloe. Express yourself in any way that is comfortable for you,
I don't think Chloe is one to judge one's craftsmanship.
If it's from your heart then nothing will be more cherished.
Once you have completed your square please mail it back
so that it can be pieced into this very special gift
for an amazing little girl.

We are so excited to see what creations everyone comes up with. Once all of the squares
have been received & pieced into the Quilt we will post a picture of the
finished product for everyone to see.
As of June 15, 2002 we are still waiting for some of the squares being created
by our family & friends. Therefore it will be awhile before I can start
to tackle the wonderful task of joining them together with love.
